We’re lucky enough to be playing two events this year. There is so much going on!
Thursday evening from 7-9 we’ll be at Argyle Fine art playing music to accompany the art of Nick Brunt and the fashion of Orphanage Clothing. Stright up acoustic duo stuff. Check out the facebook page or the website.
Friday we join some wonderful talent for a band show at the Company House. The lineup goes like this: 8pm – Acres and Acres, 9pm – The Wilderness of Manitoba, 10pm – Christina Martin, 11pm – Erin Costello.
It’s been great to be able to play band shows lately. Jordi Comstock (Drums) & Zac Crouse (Bass) have really put themselves into the tunes and I keep finding myselves in grooves that I don’t want to end. We’re taking our little 4 piece on the road this weekend for what I guess are our official CD releases in Hampton and Alma. We’ll be at the Vintage Bistro in Hampton this Friday October 15th & Octopus’ Garden in Alma the day after. Come on out if you’re in the neighbourhood.
We’re heading some place we’ve never been before to play music for friends we’ve never made before. Wallace sounds like a nice chap. Here’s a little article on Whirligigs.
We were featured on The Daily Consciousness recently. It’s a great blog full of photography, music & rants. Check it out here.
Thanks to your support & votes we made the short list of this really cool contest! They have culled the herd and narrowed the choices to 5 per province. You can vote once a day on the CBC3 site until Sept 7th. They’ll announce the winners the next day. Fingers, toes and eyes all crossed for this one!
We play a 1pm set tomorrow at the Generation Solar Stage. The sound system will be powered by the sun and weather is looking great. Awesome, and free!
check out the website.
We’re heading west on the train again, on our way to Peterborough to play the wonderful Peterborough folk fest. It’s a beautiful trip. You get to see the countryside from a completely different vantage point.
This will be a band show in a unique venue in support of a great organization. Doors at 7pm.
