Seahorse this Saturday with The Caravan & Ben Caplan and the Casual Smokers

We’ll be trying out some newer tunes with a 4 piece band at the Seahorse this Saturday.  We’re opening for a great hip hoppish band called The Caravan.  They’re releasing a full length vinyl which should make Kris’ day.  Ben Caplan and the Casual Smokers are a billowing, bellowing cloud of grit and smoke.  I can’t wait to see them again.  It’s going to be a night!

Live at the Music Room in Halifax

We’re gearing up for another show at the Music Room (the first one being the album release).  This time around we’ll be doing it as a duo.  The sound should be fantastic and we’ll be recording the performance as part of an ongoing series of sessions called “Live at the Music Room”.

May 14th will feature my favourite Haligonian chorus writer, Steve Gates.

PEI show at the Dunk (and Catherine MacLellan’s BDay Party!)

It’s been a while since we’ve gotten a chance to hang out with Catherine… We miss sharing a neighbourhood with her:(

I’m pretty excited to break out the Port Song which was written at a Kitchen Party Catherine hosted. This isn’t a Catherine MacLellan show but I suspect she’ll lend some vocals to a few of our tunes, as will our old friend Andrea MacDonald. We’re lucky dudes to mix voices with these two ladies.

It’s going down Friday at 7:30 at the Dunk.  Thanks for hosting it Hal!

Berwick & Bear River

We’re playing places I’ve never been & I can’t wait to see them.  If you’re in or around Berwick on April 16th, please do join us at the Union Street Cafe.  If you’re around Bear River on the 17th, we’ll be at the Rebekah Music Hall.

We’re loving these “country” shows & the folks we meet at them!

Wolfville & Antigonish this weekend

Two fun Nova Scotia shows coming up next.  Friday night we’ll be joining the Hupman Brothers and Thugs at Bay (t@b) for a songwriter’s circle at the Al Whittle theatre.

Saturday we head to Antigonish for an Art Gallery show with Paper Beat Scissors

For more info, see our Shows page

See you out there!
