Thanks to your support & votes we made the short list of this really cool contest! They have culled the herd and narrowed the choices to 5 per province. You can vote once a day on the CBC3 site until Sept 7th. They’ll announce the winners the next day. Fingers, toes and eyes all crossed for this one!
We play a 1pm set tomorrow at the Generation Solar Stage. The sound system will be powered by the sun and weather is looking great. Awesome, and free!
check out the website.
We’re heading west on the train again, on our way to Peterborough to play the wonderful Peterborough folk fest. It’s a beautiful trip. You get to see the countryside from a completely different vantage point.
This will be a band show in a unique venue in support of a great organization. Doors at 7pm.
We’re heading to the “Main Street of the South Shore” tomorrow to play an outdoor, afternoon set. We’re bringing our own plates & cutlery for the corn boil and then playing at 1:15pm. They’re shutting down King Street & everything. I hope the weather holds!
the wonderful Sam Ryan Band will be joining us for a fundraiser in support of HomeBridge Youth Society at the Company House Wednesday at 8pm. Great music, great cause, great venue, all we need is some great people to turn up!
We just had a raucus show at the Red Herring Pub in St. Andrews. Babette Hayward opened and was amazing. I can’t wait to hear her again tomorrow night. Kris, Zac Crouse (bass) and Mark Buchinsky (drums) are out on the point looking for meteorites. Apparently there’s a meteor shower that will climax tomorrow evening. I ran out of energy and have settled to bed.
We play the Capital in Fredericton tomorrow Thursday) and then we’re back to St. Andrews for Friday and Saturday at the Kennedy Inn. It’s feels great to visit these towns again. They are full of welcoming, warm people.
We join our old New Brunswick comrades for the second annual Folly Fest in Gagetown village, NB. Check out the lineup!
