These two films are about much, much more, actually. We’re really, really, really happy to be a part of these two heartfelt and thought inspiring films.
Paddle to the Ocean is a film by our good friend and sometimes bass player Zac Crouse, and his good friend Kelsey Thompson. In Zac’s own direct (blunt) words: “Paddle To The Ocean is a music & film project about using a kayak, a banjo and a bicycle to recover from PTSD.” The big screen premiere is Friday Sept. 13th @ 4:30pm (Park Lane Cinemas, Hfx). Twenty Eight Feet: Life on a Little Wooden Boat is a film by Kevin A Fraser based on his friend who gave up everything to travel the world solo in a sailboat. It features music by Bahamas, Ben Howard, and yours trulys! The world premiere is Sunday Sept. 15th @ 7pm at Park Lane Cinemas in Halifax as part of the CBC Shorts Gala at 7:00pm. Unhappy Happy is the hilarious and heartfelt story of an unhappy, corporate-team builder who tries to invent a device to bring happiness to his terminally-ill brother with the help of a brilliant-but-damaged woman. Unhappy Happy asks the question: What is the nature of true happiness?
This film features a whole ton of east coast musical talent and our very own Ian Bent and Alana Yorke wrote original material and served as music supervisors. It premiers…Right now in Toronto!
